Blonde doesn't mean stupid

This is my last week of being a blondie. I've been thinking about dying my hair in another color for quite a while now and now I finally a time THIS Saturday at my absolutely amazing hairdresser!
I've been blonde since March and I liked it for about 2-3 months then it just started getting annoying. I got the color I wanted, I got it silverish and it was awesome the first month I had it - then it started bugging me. My mom is a redhead and I have obviously some of her genes, thank god I'm not a redhead though (though must say my mom is a beautiful redhead - it's not extreme), so I got red pigments of course, and that causes the hair to become yellow when you bleach it. Bottom line, if your hair is yellow when you bleach it, it is because you have a lot of red pigment in your DNA. Use a purple hair shampoo or conditioner to neutralize the yellow and you will get the blonde hair you wanted. Be careful with the amount of shampoo though.
Not only does the bleanching damage my hair to the MAX so does the purple shampoo I'm using to neutralize the yellow. My hair was like hay. No joke. I quit using the shampoo when I finally decided that this was the last time I was a blonde and bought LOTS of damage controlling shampoos and conditioners, and now my hair is almost back to normal.

So to honor my blonde hair, here are some pics:

In between;

And finally the color I wanted;

The other blonde I'm with in the pictures is one of my besties. You can find her blog here . It's written in Danish.

Besides I made my point of showing that just because you're blonde doesn't mean you're dumb, stupid or easy, which was one of my goals.
