Day off

Friday I had a day off. Much needed if you ask me. Sometimes I get tired of working and just need a day off so that I just got one was much appreciated. I am that kind of person who gets tired of things easily if it's just the same going on and on - that's also why I chose to become a make up artist seeing as it's something new every day! Well as of right now I work in a kindergarden and it's quite the same going on but I enjoy it - kids bring joy to your life.

Wednedsday I went to the hairdresser to get my hair cut and it is now official healthy again after I bleached it and totally ruined it. I will never ever bleach my hair again that is a promise. However my hair is super short now if you ask me and quite thin. I usually have thick, strong hair which becomes a problem for me most of the times because it becomes thick so fast after I've gotten it cut BUT this time I think it has gotten too thin, it looks like I have no hair at all. Oh well I think she cut it that way so I can use my extenssions which I told her I would to get my hair long. Can't really wait years for long hair when I want it now so thank god for the brilliant thing as extenssions!

So Friday I went to second handshops with my mom. It has become a new hobby of mine and I usually find great things to less money while I support a good cause. My favourite shops are the ones supporting cancer science. 95% of the money they get, here in Denmark, are from people donating, only 5% are from the government. So keep it up people!

I am also working on a new project that I'm very excited about and that I hopefully will get to show you soon and that I hope you will be supportive of (you're already great for even coming back to read about me!).

So anyway, don't you think my hair has gotten short?

Oscars 2012

Last Sunday was this years Oscars and as usual the red carpet was blessed by the many celebrities with gorgeous dresses that were invited or even that lucky nominated for this year's Oscars. There were a lot of cream colored this year and a few had dared to put on more colorful clothes. Let's have a look at some of them!

Gorgeous Angelina Jolie wore a dress from Atelier Versace. She had chosen to wear Neil Lane jewelleries and a Jaime Mascaro clutch to. A black dress is a very classic one to wear at the red carpet but the very long slit spices the dress up and makes it more daring and not that "boring" as most black dresses can be. She could have worn another color of shoes to make the look even more perfect but of course the shoes  would have gotten more attention than the slit then. Great choice.
As for the make up Angelina has chosen to keep it simple which she always does and which fits her absolutely perfect. She is a very beautiful woman and doesn't need much to look great. Cat eyes and red lips is a classic and something she tends to wear - beautiful. And the red lips fit her brown hair and pale skin.

Jennifer Lopez was one of the many lovely ladies that had chosen to wear a cream colored dress for this year's  Oscars. She had chosen a dress from Zuhair Murad and combined it with a clutch from Ferragamo. The dress seems a bit boring on Jennifer, it is definitely not the best dress she has worn and the dress she wore at the after party was much better than this one. The holes at the top of the sleeves make the dress seem undone. And the way the pattern is at her hips make them seem bigger but the color fits her though I think she should try out a blood red dress. I think that would make her good.
Her hair was up in a bun which is a classic for Jennifer when she's attending the red carpet and which looks beautiful. She had chosen a seductive eyelook with lots of attention on them and kept her lips neutral with a nude lipstick. Beautiful.

Michelle Williams, Heath Ledger's ex, was one of the few that had chosen a dress with a bit more color. She wore a dress from Louis Vuitton and had combined it with a Bottega Veneta clutch and jewelleries from Forever Mark. The dress is boring and seems undone. All the layers make it seem like a big mess, like the designers didn't have time to get it done. And the small skirt at the top doesn't fit at all. I don't know if it's a two-in-one-dress?
Williams though look absolutely beautiful. She's shining! She had chosen a neutral make up look that absolutely fits her, her sexy, short, blonde hair and the color of the dress. She looks gorgeous.

Gwyneth Paltrow wore a dress in white which was also to find a lot on the red carpet at this year's Oscars. The dress was from Tom Ford and Paltrow wore Anna Hu jewelleries and Jimmy Choo shoes to the dress. The dress seems a bit uniformish with the cloak but it's very simple and simple fits Gwyneth. She often chooses things that are simple. White fits her although it would fit her to wear abit more color such as coral blue or blood red. Those colors would fit her blonde her.
As for her make up she keeps it simple too. And again it would be nice to see her with a bit more colorful and powerful make up whether it would be cat eyes or red lips, something beside the same, natural, simple look. But she's gorgeous.

Penelope Cruz wore a dress from Giorgio Armani and jewelleries from Chopard. The color is absolutely boring and she can easily wear a more powerful color! The dress is simple and beautiful and it would have been even prettier if the color had been more shining, powerful and not that dusty. I love the simple shapes and they fit Penelope's beautiful curves.
She had chosen her make up to be simple too, keeping the focus on the eyes and keeping the lips neutral with a nude lipstick.

Cameron Diaz was in a cream colored dress from Gucci and wore jewelleries from Tiffany and Co. It's not the best dress she has worn more likely one of the worst. It looks like a long tubetop that has been made into a dress. The chest cut doesn't make any good for Cameron though the fact that the dress is so slim shows off her fabulous athletic body. But the dress could easily just have been a summer dress.
Again very simple make up, everyday make up. Though with a slight color on her lips that being baby pink. Again it would be nice to see Diaz with a bit more color.

Here is a brilliant sample of the trends this S/S. Colorful and patterns, here dots. Natalie Portman was in a dress from Dior Haute Couture from Rara Vintage from 1954. To that she wore Dior shoes, a Charlotte Olympia purse and jewelleries from Harry Winston. Natalie can easily wear colorful clothing. the dress is simple and beautiful and with the purse it gets a slightly pin up look.
Her hair was down which I would have chosen to get up, she's a lot prettier with her hair up and that would have made the look completely. Cat eye make up and a light redish color on her lips.

Oscar winner Meryl Streep in a gold dress from Lanvin combined with a golden clutch from Lanvin as well and Fred Leighton earrings and Ferragamo shoes. I find it a bit hilarious that she wore a gold dress and won an Oscar - great choice! Now the dress is a bit funny too. It looks like a dressing gown or even a curtain that has been put around her. Not the best one she has worn.
Very simple make up, hardly any which is normal for mature women. However she looks great!

Sandra Bullock in a dress from Marchesa. Beautiful dress however I think the top part should have been different. The balck and white parted with the gold pattern is absolutely gorgeous. The colors fit eachother and the shape fits her.
As for the make up she had chosen the cat eye look and kept her lips neutral with a red/brownish lipstick. A very seductive look to her brown eyes. Her hair was back in a ponytail. That is too everydayish and nothing that belongs to the red carpet nor the Oscars if you ask me, but she looked gorgeous however.

To sum up: the cream colored dress was the absolute winner. Cat eyes or any eye make up with lots of focus on them and with nude lips was the winner of the make up look. A classic make up look on the red carpet and around the celebrities.

Disney on Ice

Two weeks ago I went to see Disney on Ice with my bestie. Something I had wanted to do for a while to be honest, and I was a bit dissapointed that I didn't get to the last time they were visiting here. So of course I didn't think twice when a new opportunity came and I immediately looked it up to get information about the show.

They have different kind of shows and this year it was "Heroes and princesses". When you're a huge Disney lover and fan like I am (and like my bestie is) then you have high expectations about the show. Would it be as great as we expect? Yes! It definitely was! I can highly recommend other Disney lovers, families and well others who just want a great experience, to go see a Disney on Ice show - it was absolutely fabulous and it definitely won't be the last time I'll see one. Some of the songs even brought up the tears in my friend's and my eyes. Simply amazing. You have to see it!

Here's a picture of Minnie and Mickey Mouse that would come inbetween the shows and talk. So cute!

Of course my friend and I bought souvenirs - how could we not?! There were shops everywhere! Check out what we got! Afterwards we drove home to my place and watched "Monster Ball" with Lady Gaga - a concert we attended together too.
